With those millions of pages you’re crawling a day, it’s hard to believe the web cannot be crawled in one day. Do you make priorities which sites to crawl first? For example; based on AC-Rank?
I am currently “waiting” on a few backlinks to appear in the index of MS (which I know are there), therefore I was just wandering how’d you prioritize.

Yes we do prioritize. ACRank is a factor here, but there are other ones as well.

I suggest the sitemap settings, site age and total amount of links (in and -external) are also taken into account?

A good link is visible within a few days. The fresh index gets updated as much as three times every day.
